Your review is right on the money. I get to go there at least once a
week for lunch (I work next door). The salmon pasta is my favorite
dish.
I feel exactly as you do about the noise, and wish this trend of hard
surfaces and bad acoustics hadn't started. It makes the meal a trying
experience for me, when I have to strain to hear the conversation at
my table, and find it hard to filter out all the conversations around
me.

An alternative (and much cheaper, by half) meal can be had just two
blocks west, at Intermezzo, where the Broccoli Pasta is wonderful, and
the Salmon Pasta in Shrimp sauce is almost as good as Citrus'. And it
is quieter (outside, but shaded nicely).
