When was the last time you were there, Frank? My sister and brother-in-law
ALSO raved a the VP Cafe.    At, alas, when I went by it was seemingly
defunct. I'll hope that they were only closed for remodeling...

And BTW, I'll second Frank's recommendation of the Bangkok Market--it's a
great place for Asian ingredients, including some decent produce.
