Speaking of great sweet stuff, The chain 'Louise's Trattoria' has
begun selling wonderful ice creams at several locations (*NOT*
West Hollywood, but definitely Glendale). The selection of flavors
is not as eclectic as Lyonen und Bjornen, but outside of the lamentably
deceased 'C'est Moo' in Seattle, WA, it has the best rum raisin
ice cream I've ever had. Also, does everyone know about 'Il Gelato'
on Robertson near Olympic in Beverly Hills? Not only is the gelato
on par with Tivoli in Florence (a risky comparison), but the 
atmosphere is almost exactly like a real Italian gelataria-- the
only difference being the absence of a gatekeeper/cashier who
goves you a receipt which you exchange for the goods-- a charming
bureaucratic attenuation of the commercial process!

This was shown on satellite (I believe Bravo) two nights ago.
