3 spots in Pasadena: Greco's - On the east side of south Fair Oaks, 2 blocks south of California. It's in a red clay and glass brick building the owner, Ross Greco, modified himself. Go for the pizza bianca (parmesan, garlic, olive oil) or the tomato and basil pie. Market City Cafe - On the west side of south Fair Oaks, 1/2 block south of Colorado. Wood, glass, and brick exterior with a life-size model of a Jersey cow in the window. Wood-fired pizza, excellent pasta dishes, good capuccino, and the anti-pasto bar of the gods. Order the pasta and get the antipasto for a few extra bux. Mi Piace - North side of Colorado, 1/2 block east of Fair Oaks. Exterior is iron (I think) with large glass windows, making this the place to see and been seen. Yuppie joint with tasty, whimsically designed desserts baked on the premesis by a master pastry chef. Try the fish. These places are within walking distance of each other. They haven't windows where you can see the chef twirling pizza -- the only place I remember seeing that is on Hollywood Blvd. Buon gusto, :kg
