It's almost a compulsion to multi-task. It's really annoying when someone brings in a meal with a distinctive odor, i.e. KFC, or some types of fish, even a fish burrito. At least I haven't encountered anyone eating stinky tofu in the movies! I was recently in Taipei, and right across from my hotel was a place selling stinky tofu. I could smell my way back to the hotel.
