If I were to say, "Dan, you deserve a million dollars," would you
expect a large deposit to your bank account, or maybe someone showing
up at your door unannounced with an attache case full of crisp, banded
bank notes?  Of course not; you'd recognize the sentiment as nothing
more than a figure of speech.

So then why do you feel threatened when someone says that you deserve
to be firebombed?  Saying that somebody "deserves" something isn't the
same thing as offering to do the honors oneself.

I miss the old days of the Net, when I used to get the occasional death
threat.  Nowadays I seldom even get hate mail anymore.  <sniff>

ObFood: One day last week the company "caf" offered strawberry pancakes
for breakfast.  Every so often I have a meal that just plain hits the
spot, and that was one of them -- institutional though it was.
