Oh, it's not _that_ bad.  There's a Denny's on one side of the
road and a coffee shop at the truck stop across the street
which has a decent breakfast buffet.  And there's also that
BBQ place with the beer-and-wine bar in the back.

I've been there a couple of times for a weekend of track testing
at Buttonwillow Raceway park, which is a wonderful, well-equipped
facility -- everything that Buttonwillow itself isn't.  But in
order to get a decent dinner, we had to drive half an hour into
...drum roll...Bakersfield.  That kinda puts it into perspective.
