Julian grouses: >Web forums like chowhound are for people who don't have a >decent newsreader and haven't learned to edit. It's a *good* *thing*, as Martha Stewart says sententiously. Web fora are wonderful for giving those people a place to post that's well away from me; I'm all for 'em. What I don't get is why it's even a topic of discussion on la.eats. Who's trying to evangelize whom? ObFood: Breakfast at Cafe Verona this morning (in PA). The coffee was better than I remember it. Unfortunately, the baked eggs with prosciutto and parmesan were a salty yellow swamp. I think of Verona as a rung above the University Redundancy Cafe (aka Coffee Cafe) but on the same ladder -- the people are nicer and the food less ambitious, but it's prandial mediocrity nonetheless.
