I'm a little confused as to what a Cobb Salad really is, frankly.
Every place that has one on the menu seems to have a completely
different set of ingredients.

Blue cheese and/or bacon appear in about 75% of them, but not
always.  What was the original salad comprised of?  (I leave no
room here for any regional debates ;-)
