For those of you into Starbucks coffee, a new branch is just opening in Westwood Village, on the southwest corner of Westwood and Lindbrook. This morning the banner read "opening in 2 days"! I can't wait. -- Kent Wada <wada@mic.ucla.edu> UCLA Microcomputer Support Office

A Starbucks just opened here in Pasadena, at the corner of Lake and California. The place has been packed since it opened a couple of weeks ago, which says a lot considering the number of coffee places that are currently open in the Pasadena area (Aux Delice, Old Town Bakery, Pasadena Baking Co., Equator, the Espresso Bar, etc.) They also sell granola, cookies, and pastries; they get most of this stuff from the Old Town Bakery, so if parking seems too difficult in Old Town, you can now go by Starbuck's for your sugar fix. I am currently addicted to their Cafe Latte and am wondering about quiting software to open up my own Starbuck's franchise. -- ******************************************************************************* Robin O'Brien, x66443 Office: A271 Frisbeetarianism: The belief that when you die, your soul goes up the

HG is much the quietest place to go for good coffee--it's a little out of the way (on Los Robles next to the Fuller Seminary bookstore), so it doesn't get the Old Town crowds. They have very good shortbread, BTW.
