*nod* I respect they don't want to give any money to the meat industry,
but if they feel so against it they don't want to give their pet a proper
diet (which is cruel to the pet so doesn't that go against their own
beliefs, or at least those who don't eat meat cause of cruelty reasons),
why don't they get a bunny instead or another omnivore/herbivore instead
of a carnivore where they are being cruel to an animal to support their
beliefs of anticruelty to animals?

The UK Pet Food Manufacturers Association have a code of practice that dictates that all the ingredients used in our pet foods have been passed as fit for human consumption. The PFMA stopped using the bits of cow that passed BSA (spinal chord etc) long before the human food manufacturers did.
