I understand your frustration with religion.
OTOH it seems to me that the preferable thing would be to 
go in the other direction - many many more religions.
Then maybe we could see the end of the rabbi class as it becomes
less and less profitable.  Might even conjure up a god of my own.
Let's see, "Rabbi Paperboy," that has a superior ring to it,
Though a rabbi with only one sheep the likes of me sounds like
mucking about in manual labor for my bread.  That hurts! Paperboy
