On Sunday, September 15, 1996 the annual Belmont Shore Car Show will be
held in Long Beach, California. The event is free to attend, but there
is an entry fee to exhibit the cars. The old show cars line up both
sides of the street and the center divider along 2nd Street between
Livingston and The Toledo Drive. The event is sponsored by the Belmont
Shore Association of Long Beach.

Belmont Shore is a very nice beach community of Long Beach. 2nd street
will be closed off to all through traffic during that event from 7 am
to around around 5 pm. The event starts around 10 am. and finishes
around 2 pm.

There will be plenty of Long Beach Police to monitor the event. The
location is a very safe and clean area with beautiful beach weather.
A very nice event to take the kids. All the local restaurants and
stores will be open in Belmont Shores that day.

The only parking is the beach parking lots and the local surrounding
streets. Be prepared to walk around 6 to 12 blocks to see the free
event. The event fills up rapidly with people filling up the street.

I do not have information on how to enter a car. But, if you want
information about the area, e-mail me at joosuna@ix.netcom.com
