(Really wacko groups are usually in the small towns >and outback, not in big cities like Boise, though). Even though there are fewer minorities in places like this, there seems to be *more* tolerance than in places like LA. Earlier this year, the governor of Wyoming (a republican) marched in the Martin Luther King parade. I can't imagine Pete Wilson doing that - he seems more likely to burn a cross. The president of my company did some research 2 years ago when he realized California was getting too expensive to do business. He found out that Wyoming (with no state income tax) is the best place to run a business. It's incredibly beautiful & there's great skiing and other vacation resorts, plus living here is amazingly cheap (I pay $550/month for a 3200 sq. ft. luxury townhome, when I was paying $1100 for a tiny apartment in Sherman Oaks in a building owned by the world's most obnoxious Israeli bitch). Still, it would be nice if Tabu Ley Rochereau or King Sunny Ade stopped here on their tours, but it isn't too likely.
