I can go for that too IF the Valley is broken up into one than more city. Those of us here in the East Valley will be damned if they run things from the West Valley. Actually, here are some of my ideas of the cities that could come out of it: City of North Hollywood (former communities of Studio City, Universal City, Toluca Lake, North Hollywood, NoHo, Valley Village, Valley Plaza and the rest of North Hollywood north of there.) City of Van Nuys (former communities of Van Nuys, Panorama City and Sherman Oaks) City of North Hills (former communities of North Hills, Sepulveda, Arleta and Mission Hills City of North Valley (former communities of Pacoima, Lakeview Terrace, Hansen Hills, Sylmar and Sunland-Tujunga) City of Zelzah (former communities of Northridge, Reseda, Granada Hills and Porter Ranch) City of Santa Susana Bluffs (former communites of Canoga Park, West Hills and Chatsworth) City of Woodland Oaks (former communities of Woodland Hills, Warner Center, Tarzana and Encino) Each city would be at least the size of cities such as Burbank, for example, and are pretty well mixed and matched on a racial and socioeconomic level, as well as types of industry within them. I've taken the names of the dominant and longtime communities in the case of North Hollywood and Van Nuys, kept the name that erased Sepulveda for the communities in the north central valley, reverted to the original community name in the case of Zelzah (plus they already have a street to go with it - its a biblical name by the way), highlighted the local view with Santa Susana Bluffs (and get rid of the generic West Hills which is duplicated several times in other parts of California), kept the Woodland from Woodland Hills and tipped our hat to the grand trees in Encino with Woodland Oaks. The only one that really throws me is North Valley. I can't seem to come up with anything better, although I don't like the name. There needs to be something that could be taken from the natural topography but not something unique to only one area such as Hansen Dam or Mt. Gleason. They are in the view of the Angeles Forest mountains, but anything I could come up with in English or Spanish that incorporates the concept is too much like something that already exists. Maybe you guys can come up with a better name (for any of them - but please let us keep North Hollywood). ----- Michael - MHigby@primenet.com Join The BooZoo Comics Mailing List World Wide Web: http://www.bolis.com/L/listinfo/boozoo or E-mail me to subscribe -----
