Like 242 and 338? This problem is best analysed as a problem of expansion.
Israel has never accepted a defined border. The Palestinians thought that 
working out he line between Palestine and Israel would be simple because 
non-Israeli Arabs lived separately from Israelis, but the Israelis decided to 
change the facts on the ground and expand into Arab lands assuring continuing 
emnity.
