The phone company sells your phone number to the telemarketers
(they are, after all the only ones who know every phone number),
The phone company offers to sell you privacy service, and they'll
sell you a unlisted number. Whatever choice you make, they make
$'s and they aren't gonna stop.
If the "national do not call list" goes into effect, they marketiers
will just move their call centers to canada, mexico, india or somewhere
else and they will still call...
