Every now and then around here, new management at a local TV station makes the mistake of cutting away from a local ACC basketball game. Consumer reaction is swift and furious, the problem is quickly fixed, and profuse apologies are offered the next day. Phone companies have different types of market forces than TV stations, of course, but it seems to me that people around here care a lot more about basketball than they do telemarketing calls. That's y'alls prerogative, of course, but instead of bitching on usenet you could always pick up the phone and offer to sell some ideas to some poor low level manager at ATT or Sprint or whatever.
