Gee AaronBob, J Edgar Hoover created the FBI and destroyed promising
criminal careers all over the place in the '30's, including John
Dillinger and Al Capone. I think he was a very upstanding citizen.
Tail GunnerJoe McCarthy returned from the War in the Pacific and was
sent to the Senate by the citizens of Wisconsin, in much the same
manner that John Kerry promoted his career after Vietnam. You going to
start second guessing the voters of Wisconsin?  Roy Cohn was
considered by many to be a very clever jewish criminal lawyer. Do you
believe we should discourage government service by fellows like this?
Do you suggest we throw lawyer Joe Leiberman out?
As communists and their allies (then called running dogs) were outed
by the Senate Investigating Committees, when they ran out of defense
they yelled `guilt by association'. None subsequently found a way to
prove their innocence.  Face it a lot of democrat liberals and Media
people were duped into joining Communist and Communist front
organizations in the '30's and '40's before it became clear that
communism was a threat and enemy of the US, perhaps best enunciated by
Winston Churchill when invited to speak by Harry Truman at Fulton ,
Missouri. A speech later endorsed by President Truman.
