So how does a person study to become a politician?

- how to win friends and influence people
- how to get folks to open their wallets
- how to look good on tv

So far Arnold's 3 for 3.

The whole idea of a citizen's democracy is that the baker, butcher and
candlestick maker can give service and even lead.

To think that your typical politician has any real skills at running a
department of departments is innocence at its worst. It's middle management
types who do that. Politicians, once they earn some turf move in the
directions of their particular stripe by and large, and leave the details to
the experts.

So voting by what a candidate's views are and where he wants to go is
honorable. That a candidate might not have vast experience in double-dealing,
speaking out of 6 sides of his mouth at once, and numerous other favorite
political activities is probably more of a plus than a minus.

So much for the 'lack of experience' criticisms.

There's more. I'm a democrat but I'm disappointed that so many dems who were
outraged at the way the reps capitalized on the Clinton escapades, so
gleefully attack Arnold today.

But hey, that's politics. A learned art, right? Nex
