	    PREPARING TO SCORE HIGH ON THE PSAT & THE SAT


California State University, Dominguez Hills' Educational 
Opportunity Program (EOP) and College & High school Educational 
Strategies for Success (C.h.e.s.s.) Educational Consulting Firm are 
excited to announce that the highly anticipated C.h.e.s.s. Forum* 
on the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) will take place Saturday, 
January 13, 1996 on the campus of California State University, 
Dominguez Hills.  The forum features Dr. Aftab Hassan, member of 
MENSA, consultant to Educational Testing Service (ETS) on the 
Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), and co-author of the Betz Guides to 
standardized exams.  Dr. Hassan comes to us from the University of 
Maryland to teach high school students the problem solving 
techniques and thinking processes for the PSAT, the SAT and the 
ACT.  Additionally, Dr. Hassan will introduce to students both the 
cognitive and non-cognitive skills necessary for academic success. 
Dr. Hassan is a highly sought private educator who has successfully 
provided educational services to the most prestigious universities 
in the country: Harvard, Duke, UCLA, UC Berkeley, U Penn and many, 
many more.  This is one of the few times that Dr.  Hassan has 
availed himself to work with high school students in Southern 
California, an opportunity that college preparatory students should 
not miss.
