I was reading through the Governator's review of various road-related issues. In one of the documents (pertaining to relinquishing state highway miles), there is a link to one of the chapters in the history of California road development at cahighways.org, < http://www.cahighways.org/chrphas4.html >. Caltrans also has a number of links to Dan's site. In a related incident, I was at the Fremont public library information desk, looking for any town documents about the I-880/CA 262 (Mission Blvd) interchange, having found nothing online. The research person didn't find any paper documents, but didn't want to leave me empty-handed, so she did an online search. "This might help," she said, handing me a printout... of the 880 page from cahighways.org. I said I was familiar with the site, and it was a good source of information. She realized that we were basically back where we started, but I thanked her for her help. (Since then, I have seen a diagram of the proposed interchange. CA 262 would meet 880 in a semi-directional T. Warren Ave. would be extended over 880, connecting the parts severed when CA 17 opened. A six-ramp partial cloverleaf would be built at Warren/880, partially underneath the 262 flyovers. All the present-day fishhook stuff would be destroyed.) -- Kurumi http://www.kurumi.com/ 3di's, Conn. Roads, maps, interchanges
