Did anyone ever tell you during an internship that you would never make it in your chosen field? And then did you go on to professional success in that very same endeavor? I'm a reporter at the Los Angeles Times looking to talk to people about their experience. I am writing a piece on the awful, condescending, patronizing or just plain insultingly wrong things interns have been told over the years by allegedly well-meaning journeymen or managers. Please send me a brief description of your experience and let me know how and when I can contact you. Or let me know if you'd rather contact me.
