Hi folks, Let me get to the point quickly. I am new to Berkeley and need someplace to hang out. Y'know, like an apartment etc. My requirements are v.flexible. Either someone who is looking for housing or someone with a decent 2-3 bedroom place he/she wants to share......... Who am I : I am a 25 year old straight male non-smoker, non-drinker mostly vegetarian (unless I am *ReallY* hungry!!). You can be anything you like. I have no hang-ups about that. Basically I am looking for a "you do your thing, I do mine" kinda deal where we can split the apartment & utilities costs and do each other a favour. I just moved here from New York where I was working at IBM. What am I : I work (full-time) as a software engineer in the ICSD at Lawrence Berkeley Laboratory. Most of my interests are in books, photography, cars, books on photography, books on cars, books on photographing cars etc. Generally nothing that would disturb a roommate... I like music but I have outgrown the age at which I HAD to play them full-blast. Now I listen to them only in my car. What do I want : As far as the apartment itself, as I said, I don't mind sharing a 2 or 3 bedroom with 1 or 2 others. Having a private bathroom would be nice, but not an essential req. I own a car, so it doesn't HAVE to be within walking distance in BERKELEY. However, if I can avoid a long commute, so much better. EL CERRITO or some other "BART"- able place would do fine. And oh yes, the rent range is $$>>> $300-$400 a month, give or take a bit. Actually, for a really good place, I could spring for more. You can be a student or a professional. I don't have a problem either way. I was a student myself till last year. What's in it for you : So, that is it, in a large nutshell. If you are interested, or know someone who is, please let me know. There maybe a nice dinner in it for you......... Where Am I : Work : 510-486-5953 (8 - 5, except lunch and meetings) Home : 510-745-7220 (Evenings/Nights.) email: prem @ prem.lbl.gov (that's .gov not .edu) Help me out folks! Thanx a bunch. R. Shirdi Prem
