Hi, I've a RH6.2 and I've installed netatalk-1.4b2+asun2.1.3-6. with the rpm When I start atalk with /etc/rc.d/init/d/atalk I get the follwing error message: >atalkd: socket: invalid argument >atalkd: socket: invalid argument >atalkd: can't get interfaces: exiting But papd and afpd are working fine. If I try the nbplkup command I also get an erro message >nbplkup nbp_lookup: Invalid argument I'm a little bit lost, anyone has an idea? Ruben

Hi Ruben,
I have exactly the same problem here.

[FAIL]
# /etc/rc.d/init.d/atalk status
atalkd is stopped
I've tried with a new kernel with Appletalk built in instead of the
standard "as loadable module", this seems to work better, atalk starts
ok but after a while there are the error messages
can't register server:Workstation@*
can't register server:netatalk@*
On the Mac, the linuxbox still does not display in the Appletalk
browser.
In any case, you should be able the Linux machine from the Mac by
clicking the "server IP address" and typing in the IP manually.
I even installed RH 6.1 on a spare computer, and that worked very well
with atalk.
I'll keep trying.
Or if there is anyone who knows more about this ...
