If you had posted your setup details (ie, IP addresses, netmasks etc) for
each card, it would have helped greatly.

Anyway, the following questions should help narrow down the problem.

1. Can you ping 127.0.0.1?
If not, then there is a serious problem, which playing around with the
   interface settings will not fix.

2. Can you ping the interace addresses? (Ie, if eth0 has IP 192.168.0.1, can
   you ping this address.)
If this fails for one or both cards, then pinging anything else will not
   work. [1]

3. Are you pinging using IP addresses instead of hostnames?
If it works when using IPs, then the fault is with DNS.

Assuming you pass all these tests, have you turned on IP forwarding? By
default, RH ships with this off. To enable it do the following:

  echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4.ip_forward

The better way to set this option is in /etc/sysconfig/network file, where
you should have a line reading

  FORWARD_IPV4=yes

Which will set IP forwarding up each time the system starts.

If this does not help, please post your configuration details, along with
the answers to the above questions.

[1] Unless you've turned off ping as a service, but you say its a default
RH6.2.
