RH 7.2 kill hard drive ... HELP...

Hi Guys,

I installed RH7.2 on a 4th SCSI drive using GRUB
installed on the 4th drive.

It messed up the partition table on drive 1!

My first hard drive is a 4.3G SCSI with a standard
OS/2 boot manager.

I use this boot manager to point to the different
bootable partitions on various drives.

These is DOS 6.22 on drive 1 (Via NT 4 boot loader),
Win 95 and OS/2 Warp4. Nt4 is booted via the NT boot
loader.

The OS/2 boot manager also points to a partition
on drive 2 which has Lilo for a Redhat 7.1 install.

This config has worked flawlessly for years.

I have not asked Redhat to do anything to the first
hard drive during the install. There was a warning
about partition table during install and shutdown after
install but this should not have affected disk 1 in any
way as I did not select anything to be done to disk 1.

When I booted up again the OS/2 boot manager came up
with some entries missing. When I ran Partition magic
to see why it shows error #114 which has to do with
partition boundaries.

What can I do now?

Why did Redhat 7.2 even touch my partition table on
drive 1?

I need to restore the partition table to a state
where I can manipulate it with Partition Magic.

Any advice on this???

Anthony

You will need to grab your os/2 boot disk and re-install boot manager and
tell it about your redhat partition

Regards

Andrew
