wake up problem after suspend

Dear reader,

I have a toshiba 320 cdt with a xircom pcmcia card. The xircom card is a
10/100 Mbit network card and a 56k modem. I also have a windows 95
machine. The windows machine is running sygate modem share program to
share the modem across the network. When I startup the windows computer,
then make a connection to the internet and after that boot my linux
machine, everything is allright and i can use the net from my linux
machine.
At night, I have to remove the network cable between the two computers.
Then i first use netcfg to deactivate the connection, then pull out the
network cable and then shutdown the windows machine. Next I put my linux
system in suspend with the command apm -s. The next morning, I startup
the windows system, make a connection to the internet and then put the
activate button on my linux machine in netcfg. Operation failed.
So I think that the problem is that my pcmcia card doesn't wake up
right. When I reboot my linux system everything is running again and I
can surf the web. Does anybody have any idea how to solve this problem?

much tanks in advance!

Martin

P.S. Ja, ik weet dat dit een nederlandse nieuwsgroep is, maar ik stuur
dit bericht ook naar een paar niet nederlandse nieuwsgroepen en die
snappen het niet in 't nederlands :)

An addition:

I just did a little test, I started up both machines so everything worked
fine. After that I went to suspend mode with linux and waked it up again. Then
about every 5 seconds I got the following error message:

eth0: transmit timed out

I couldn't connect to the net, so I rebooted again and wrote this message.

in ieder geval kan je de netwerk drivers als modules compileren en
vervolgens een script schrijven die
- "nework stop" in /etc/rc.d/init.d
- modprobe -r driver_netwerk
- modprobe -r pcmcia_driver (deze stap eventueel)
- modprobe pcmcia_driver
- "nework start" in /etc/rc.d/init.d

deze kan je dan gebruiken na dat je je pc wakker hebt gemaakt na een suspend
(eventueel door apm laten draaien, als het mogelijk is)

groeten,
