strange login question from a newbee

Dear reader,

I'm using redhat 6.0. Yesterday I reinstalled everything succesfully,
but there is one problem. When I login I see the following:

Redhat Linux Release 6.0 (Hedwig)
Kernel 2.2.15-2 running on an i586

localhost login: root
Password:
Last Login: <date + time>

<Message of the day>
0
<=====!!!!!!!!!
[root@localhost /root]# _

As you can see, everything is working allright, except the annoying '0'
at the end of the message of the day. Does anybody know why it appears
on my screen? I already read /ect/motd, but that file doesn't contain a
'0'.

much thanx in advance!

Martin

I didn't loose my mind,
I know where I left it.

I did change the motd file, but there is no 0 in it. I also checked the
issue file, but that only says

 Redhat Linux Release 6.0 (Hedwig)
 Kernel 2.2.15-2 running on an i586

and the 0 appears after the motd file..

any more suggestions?

I bet you didn't notice the linux.* groups in the Newsgroups:-header?
