I had similar problems with my NIC. It would show up but not work. I assume you've set up your internet service and searched for updated drivers. Funny thing is, I don't know why mine is working now. I reinstalled RH 7.2 for about the third time and set up my DSL. Everything works fine now. Only problem is waiting for my eth0 device to initialize and failing at bootup due to its inability to locate an IP. I have to use DHCP. Otherwise, once my DSL starts up, its all good. -- Illien Word to Ya Moms
