CDDB for XMMS
#23

I believe the CDDB facility is built into XMMS 1.2.7, but I can't get it
working. Are there any known bugs that might be preventing it from
working? Also, if I select "View File Info" from the XMMS main menu,
nothing appears. Is this normal, or should I reinstall and start from scratch?

TIA

Download and install the xmms packages available here;

http://havardk.xmms.org/dist/xmms-1.2.7-rh8-rh9-rpm/

Red Hat Linux 8.0 and 9 supplied packages are broken due to legal
concerns.

I use the following for CDDB myself (Prefernces/Audio I/O Plugins);

CD Audio Player Configuration --> CD Info Tab

CDDB server: freedb.freedb.org

CD Index server: www.cdindex.org

Thanks, I'll try it.
