Problem removing package
#26

I'm trying to remove a package from the command line, using rpm with
various options.

The removal process starts, but then stops and hangs. The package has no
dependencies, and when I try --nodeps, --noscripts or --notriggers, it
still doesn't work.

Using the -evv option produces:

D: opening db environment /var/lib/rpm/Packages joinenv
D: opening  db index       /var/lib/rpm/Packages rdonly mode=0x0

...and this is where the whole process just hangs.

Any suggestions?

First; Make sure your root (su or sudo) when you try to this.

Second: You may find help here;

Thanks, that worked fabulously...I did a rebuild with rpm and then the
package could be removed.
