Can anybody recommend a good antivirus package for Linux? (RH9) Likewise,
are there any that aren't worth bothering with?

TIA

Get both and use them on a regular basis's. Both are free for home use.
There are other anti-virus packages available, but these two are good
packages to start with.

chkrootkit; http://www.chkrootkit.org/

F-Prot Antivirus; http://www.f-prot.com/download/home_user/
