XFree86 Colour Depth (RH6.1)
#54

I'm running KDE with XFree86 v3.3.5 on RH6.1

I am trying to figure out how to increase the colour depth of the screen
resolution. It currently appears as if the depth is too low. The
graphics in Netscape and the graduating colours on the window title bars
are blotchy, rather than nice and graduated.

I'm guessing that the colour depth is to low for the graphics to display
correctly. Can someone tell me how to solve this. I have included the
XF86Config file below.

Thanks.

If you simply change the DefaultColorDepth lines (which are currently set to 8
bits/pixel) to the value you want (i.e. 15, 16, 24 or 32), X should start up
with the colour depth you want.

Yep. Worked perfectly. Thanks.
