What makes you that sure ? 
Would you believe someone who, has seen more than 900KB/s, sustained ?

May be that you can't *imagine* TCP transfers faster than 800KB/s.
But there are people who *know* that it is possible, because they've done it.

If you have INTERNET access to this site, I invite you to test the ethernet 
performance of our DEC 5000/200 and Sparc 2 systems.
Then you'll also know that it is possible ...
