"SunTutor" is Sun's newest training technology: a portfolio of
multimedia training products designed and developed by SMCC Worldwide
Customer Support (WWCS). WWCS is announcing the first of Sun's planned
series of SunTutor courses.

What is "SunTutor"? It describes the set of Sun multimedia training
products built with advanced multimedia development tools to
utilize the full capability of the Sun workstation. The planned
series of SunTutor products will share the following features:

	* Multimedia (including audio, graphics, interactive simulation,
	  text, animation, motion screen captures)

	* Online access (targeted to End-User and networked-user audiences)

	* Performance-Support-Systems (PSS) instructional design methods

	* Application-Integrated design

	* CD-ROM media with server-client networked access

	* Target systems: SPARC systems with audio

OW-107:  PREMIER SUNTUTOR PRODUCT
---------------------------------
WWCS Technical Education Services introduces its initial training
product, targeted for a high-penetration, broad-exposure audience:

	OW-107 SunTutor: OpenWindows Environment for Users

The OW-107 "OpenWindows" product is designed as an online tutorial to
instruct end-users on the use of OpenWindows and DeskSet tools for OWV3
(Solaris 1.0 and 2.0).

The OW-107 "SunTutor" course is unique in four aspects:

  	1) It is designed as self-paced training for new Sun Users, new
	   OpenWindows users and commercial users migrating from other
	   operating systems to Sun (eg. DOS to OpenWindows)
	2) As an on-line product, it is also a valuable reference tool
	   for ongoing user support
  	3) It does not require special hardware or software to operate
     	   on SPARC workstations with audio
  	4) Its design is integrated to simulate the user environment using
	   non-invasive methods (no interaction with the host environment)

SunTutor products are positioned to complement existing training
courses. The "OpenWindows Environment for Users" course is particularly
valuable for commercial audiences and students who might not otherwise
travel for Sun training, while video/workbook and lecture/lab courses
target other students (engineers, system administrators, etc.).
