Havn't seen a reply to this bit so....

this hang on the tcp mailer is an "old bug"

The line:

Mtcp,	P=[IPC], F=nsmFDMuXLC, S=22, R=22, A=IPC $h, E=\r\n

had a spurious trailing space " " which you have to zap.
