MCSNet has a quantity of Microcom QX Rack systems for sale.

Price is $125 per card. Sold in full chassis quantities (16 modems) only.
The chassis is included with the purchase of the full set of modems at no
additional cost.

Telco interface is via two AMP 50-pin connectors; wiring diagram on request
(basically they use every third pair). DTE is standard DB-25; plug a
terminal server right in.

These things are HEAVY, industrial quality units; the racks themselves
are solid heavy-gauge steel.  As such I do not want to ship them anywhere;
best bet is to pick them up at our offices. Each chassis contains 16 modems,
two transformers (for power) and individual busy-out switches for each port.

A limited number of manuals for the cards and chassis are available; first
come, first served.

The cards in these racks are QX V.34 modems; these are electrically and
programmatically identical to the DESKPORT FAST modem from Microcom. The
only difference is that the LCD display is missing on the rack models, and
the unit has a set of LEDs on the front instead (corresponding to the
functions and signals on the card).

First come, first served - sold out when gone!

Call and speak to Jody Ficht at 312-803-6271 x212 during business hours for
more details.

These are a great deal for fax server applications or small to mid-size ISP
use. If they are mounted in a rack, you want to place a fan tray below
every third unit. If you purchase three or more units, we'll include a
fan tray (until we run out!) The units bolt right into a standard 19"
equipment rack and run on 110V power (standard cord included).

You CAN put these on a breadrack or shelf; I do NOT recommend stacking
chassis in that configuration as there could be ventilation problems,
however, single chassis will be fine side-by-side on a shelf. You do
want rear access for power and signal connections in any event.

Hope this is of use to someone!

We have about 20 units here available, so while they aren't exactly scarce,
they aren't unlimited in quantity either....

All are in good working order.
