niggers lure police into an ambush and kill them then their shitmonkey bruthas and sistahs jump for joy now the NAACP wants the police chief to resign burn in hell, you fucking black bastards all 36 million of you subhuman savages NAACP calling for resignation of Alexandria police chief The Associated Press 2/25/03 2:35 AM ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) -- The president of the local chapter of the NAACP is calling for the resignation of Police Chief Tommy Cicardo, who he says has put the black community at risk. "Cicardo must go," Joe Buckner said. "The people will not rest until he is gone." Cicardo said he will not resign. He also said that if anyone should resign, it's Buckner. Buckner has had run-ins with the law in the past and has served time for an armed robbery conviction, according to court records. But Buckner insists that he represents the people in the community and that the police department needs to be led by someone who does not put the black community in danger. Anthony Molette, 25, was killed Thursday when about 40 shots were fired at him as he ran at policemen while firing at them, police said. Molette killed two officers -- Jeremy Carruth and David Ezernack -- before being gunned down. He was also suspected of shooting at another police officer the day before he died. Officers did not attempt to negotiate to bring Molette out of the house before going in with full force, Buckner said. "The death warrant was already signed," Buckner said. He said family members offered to work with police to bring Molette out of the house, but their offers were turned down. Molette was a man who had been harassed and victimized by the police, Buckner said. Buckner said that if a mediator or negotiator had been used, things may have turned out differently. Cicardo and Assistant Chief Gary Moore said they believe a negotiator would have been killed if he approached the house, since Molette had already ambushed another officer. Besides, Cicardo said, his officers "do not negotiate with terrorists." He said Molette had been terrorizing the officers and putting lives in the community in danger with his reckless firing of a weapon. The NAACP is also planning a vigil to remember Molette and a rally to protest the Alexandria Police Department's treatment of black residents. Both events are scheduled for Wednesday evening, starting at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall. The NAACP and volunteers are offering rides to members of the community to attend the rally.
