I am happy to announce a gopher server for the Ann Arbor Computer
Society.  We held our first meeting on Tuesday at Zingermans Next
Door, and in addition to having some nice coffee we worked out
organization and plans for the next meeting.  

In order to help support the goals of the group, I have started up
a gopher server for it.  The idea is to put together a calendar 
of events and a collection of information for people who might
be interested in some or all of the activities that AACS is planning,
and to help inform the community about what is going on. The
gopher server is on "gopher.msen.com", e.g.
	gopher -p aacs gopher.msen.com 70

If you have events or notices you'd like publicized, please send
them to me at

Put the word AACS in the Subject line so I find it.  Or subscribe to
the AACS mailing list by sendiing mail to 
	majordomo@msen.com
If you know how to use majordomo the list is "aacs", otherwise send
the single word

in the body of the messge for instructions.

Next month's meeting is 3 February (a Wednesday this time) at 
Zingermans Next Door.  The scheduled presentation is Edward Vielmetti
of Msen talking about the Internet.  The tentative schedule for
March is Richard Hale Shaw on coding for Windows NT, and April
looks like a feature by John Drystadt on the future of the computing
industry.  Meetings are at 7:30 pm.
