I thought all the instrument clusters plugged into the computer now. They even have an industry standard protocol for things to talk to each other on the wire. I was under the impression the instrument clusters have evolved that far, and that air bags were the next thing to talk on the wire. Alas, they are a digital device, or electronic, whichever you prefer. I always hear people groan about how they can't turn back odometers without replacing a chip now. -Ron
