All Media? From the Village Voice to the G. Gordon Liddy show? I find that
somewhat hard to believe.

Or perhaps the workers were being paid by the task. "Build 200 brake rotor
subassemblies and you get $x. If you can do it in 10 minutes, more power
to you." Somehow I doubt that's how it works.

Hmm, I type 75 words a minute. I should only have to work six hours a day!

Things which their competitiors have done as well. GM spends more per
vehicle than Ford or Chrysler. Their time to market is slowest of the big
three. They outsource the least. They're not in the business to employ
workers, and if they must cut costs, they cut costs, like any other
business.

: Do a search on the stock quote area and check out the bonuses the top
: executives have been giving themselves at the expense of those under
: them. How would you like to make $400000 in one day on options?

I'd love it. Not there, though (yet). Again, blame Ford and Chrysler and
Toyota. If GM doesn't offer incentives to its executives, their
competitors will.
