Something is wrong with the mail at gmr.com. I have a bunch of
stuff in my mail queue marked

(Deferred: Connection reset by peer during greeting wait with gmr.com)

When I run the queue, I get this:

xxx@gmr.com... Connecting to gmr.com (tcpld)...

24-JUL-92  10:26:11: Can't initialize MM_%PAS-F-HALT, HALT procedure called

<Bunch of dump info deleted>

-- no equivalence addresses for alias postmaster%PAS-E-ERRDURCLO,
error during CLOSE
  File "^TEXT" Filename "_INET8233:[].;"-RMS-E-DPE, device positioning error-
SYSTEM-F-ILLIOFUNC, illegal I/O function code

xxx@gmr.com... Deferred: Connection reset by peer during greeting wait with gmr.com

This has been going on for the whole week now. Anyone know what's going on
out there?

However, GMR like the most of GM (except sales) and the EDS'ers on the
GM Account are all on vacation until August 3rd. MY guess is the
computers at GMR may not be in production status until then.

Some mail is getting through, and news. The gmr.com machine is running
free, though...hang on until somebody notices.

Sorry about this.
