Computer Sciences Corporation has several immediate opening for intermediate 
or senior level personnel in the Technical Systems Support Group at the 
Technology Management Division in Sterling Heights, Michigan to support 
Computer Aided Software Engineering (CASE) Technology.

The Technology Management Division of Computer Sciences Corporation in
Sterling Heights (a remote Detroit Suburb) provides computers and system
support to General Dynamics, Land Systems Division.  General Dynamics Land
Systems Division designs and builds armoured vehicles for the U.S.
Military, specifically the M1A1 and now the M1A2 tank.

The environment includes Unix system; Sun Servers, 130 SPARC workstations, and 
an Auspex Fileserver.  An extensive network connects these systems within 
Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.  An extensive software engineering department 
within Land Systems is supported.


The job description and required qualifications are as follows:

Position:  Computer Systems Engineer 

        A thorough understanding of the theory and practice of CASE 
        Technology is essential for this position.

        Responsibilites include consulting and supporting users in the area
        of CASE Technology.  It is hoped that the candidate will take the
        lead in introducing and supporting CASE Technology within CSC at
        General Dynamics.

        Programming is done in C, C++ or Ada, depending on the department 
        supported.  

        This position requires at least one year of experience with the Sun
        Operating System.   Knowledge of the X-Window system, X-terminals,
        OpenWindows, and shell programming is essential.  Knowledge of 
        Software thru Pictures, Interleaf, CodeCenter, AutoPlan, Softool CCC,
        AdaMAT, ObjectMaker, and Statement will be essential or helpful
        depending on the position sought.  


Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

     o   Consult with the users to introduce CASE Technology into the
         software development procedure.
     o   Write scripts and programs to automate processes and increase
         productivity
     o   Solve the users' problems and educate the users
     o   Document procedures
     o   Provide the lead for CASE Technology within CSC at General Dynamics



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

     o   U.S. Citizenship is required.

     o   Knowledge of Computer Aided Software Engineering tools and 
         procedures.

     o   Knowledge of UNIX, shell programming, X-windows, and OpenWindows.

     o   Good interpersonal skills enabling interaction with customers and
         technical staff of various skill levels.

     o   Good problem solving and deductive reasoning skills.

     o   The ability to effectively communicate, throught oral and written
         skills.

     o   The ability to work independently, in a team, formulate procedures,
         and manage priorities with assigned responsibilities.

     o   A B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or associated discipline is
         required.

     o   Able to work in a challenging and dynamic environment.

    o   As of January 1st, 1991 Computer Science Corporation instituted a
