Question with ASP

I know this is probably getting annoying and all, me posting messages
asking for help with ASP. But I really do need help. Unfortunately, I
don't have the programming experience to get these pages up with the
VBScript and everything. Plus, I don't have the time that I need because
we want our site changed pretty quickly. If someone could at least just
send me an example page of code so that I can get a slight idea and work
off of that and the database, then it would be a great help. Thanks a
lot.

                Sincerely,
                            Jared Rothstein

I suggest getting the book "ASP Active Server Pages" by Wrox press, that
will get you up and running as quickly as possible and is a very well
written guide.

Hope this Helps

He refuses to acknowledge any replies to his prior x-post. He apparently
wants someone, for free, to jet-chopper to his house and hold his hand
through downloading Personal Web Server and running one of its sample
apps.

Here you go, a page of code.

<!--#include VIRTUAL="inc/ADOVBS.inc"-->
<!--#include VIRTUAL="inc/IASUtil.inc"-->
<%

  lTaskId  = request("TaskId")
  lActivity = request("ActvText")
  lActivity  = Replace ( lActivity, "~", " " )
  FldList = ""
  ValList = ""

  no_go = 0

  FldList = FldList & "Task_Id"
  ValList = ValList & lTaskId

  FldList = FldList & ",Entered_By"
  ValList = ValList & ", '" & Session("asaUserLogon") & "'"

  lActivity  = Replace ( lActivity, "'", "`" )
  FldList = FldList & " ,Detail"
  ValList = ValList & " ,'" & lActivity & "'"

  If no_go Then
  Else
    SQ = "INSERT INTO lsi..Task_Activity ( " & FldList & ")"
    SQ = SQ & " VALUES ( " & ValList & ")"

' response.write SQ

    Set Conn = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection")
    Conn.Open "LocalServer"
    Set RS = Conn.Execute(SQ)

    IF CheckADOError ( 0, Conn, SQ ) Then
      Conn.close
    Else
      Response.Redirect "Task_Email.asp?TaskId=" & lTaskId
&"&Link=/Tasks/TaskDetail.asp?TaskId=" & lTaskId
   End If
 End If
