I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get Excel to run a Macro at start up. It's not anywhere in the on-line documentation, although the documentation says to press "Shift" to cancel the mysterious macro. How do you do it? Steve "Whatever happened to auto123.wk1 anyway?" To run the macro on opening a workbook, simply call it Auto_Open(). I
assume this is the function you're talking about.

In Excel97, attach to the workbook object: Private Sub Workbook_Open() End Sub When you "view code" for the workbook object (select in your project window;hit view code), the module is blank. Select the dropdown arrow on the left and then select workbook. The above code should appear. In any case, the dropdown arrow on the right will now show the events associated with the workbook.
