onwindowclose event

Dear reader! I am looking for an "onwindowclose" event in JS. Saying: If a user wants to close the Browser window a JS function is launched (in my case a loggout page is loaded) before the browser is closed. Is there a posibility of performing this feature (in NN and MSIE)? Thanx for ur help, Rafael

But unfortunately when u move your window with the mouse outside the screen-borders, the event "onunload" also occurs. I need an even which just works when the window is really close and not reloaded. Do u have an idea! Au revoir, Rafael

onbeforeunload() in IE. doesn't exist in NS though.
