Hi!
How would I make an Activex server process with one object and five
interfaces or five objects with one interface each (five threads), to
handle simultaneous requests from up to five client applications. I do
not want one request from one client that takes several minutes to lock
some other request from another client (message queue system is not good
enough).
How should I design such system?
Wkat tool should I use ATL, MFC ,Borland Builder C++?
How would the performance suffer if a client calls a Activex server that
also calls another Activex server in the next step, se figure below?
I plan to use the design below, do you have any suggestions or remarks
on that? The three processes in the middle are acting servers to the
processes above and clients to the process below.
Would it be better to remove the servers in the middle and implement the
server functions in the server process below?

Your options are : 1. Go for MTA and let the COM/RCP thread pool solve your problems. 2. Implement your own class factory to create a new apartment for each object. 3. Use CComAutoThreadModule and increase the default thread pool size. R.
