What is the best tool for building a data enabled web site? I have lots of experience building relational database applications and I now need to build an application for the web. I have experience with Access, Visual Basic, FoxPro and Delphi. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you, Reg

I have built them using Access,Informix,SQL Server, and Oracle. The easiest is probably Access if you dont have too many users. Once you get into the hundreds of users, I would recommend SQL Server, especially if you are using a product like MSVI. -Kev In article <38230671.136885484@news>, rslists@home.com wrote: > What is the best tool for building a data enabled web site? Sorry. I was more asking about the front end. Could you use Access for this? If not, what tool is the best for building online database solutions? Thank you, Reg

You can use Access, but I would stay away from A2K, unless you are comfortable using ADO. The downside of using Access in general is the back end capabilities. I think this is what Kevin was referring to when he recommended Oracle, SQL Server, and Informix. My experience with A2K and Visual Studio components is that it is torture configuring, and requires the SP3 to get it to work. <rslists@home.com> wrote in message news:38235bc5.1854052@news... > Sorry.
