Dear All,

First of all, apologies for the cross posting, but I'm at a dead end with
trying to solve this one.

Summary of question:
(1) Why do I get "Object does not support this property or method" in IE5,
but not IE4, and how do I resolve this?
(2) Where can I get the Internet Client SDK from?

I have the following ActiveX code on my page:

 <object CLASSID="clsid:5220cb21-c88d-11cf-b347-00aa00a28331" VIEWASTEXT
id="Microsoft_Licensed_Class_Manager_1_0">
 <param NAME="LPKPath" VALUE="richtx32.lpk">
 </object>

 <object classid="CLSID:3B7C8860-D78F-101B-B9B5-04021C009402"
codebase="<%=Application("MyServer")%>/richtx32.cab#version=6,0,0,8418"
height="330" id="txtTemplateData" name="txtTemplateData" style="LEFT: 0px;
TOP: 0px" width="610">
 <param NAME="_ExtentX" VALUE="16404">
 <param NAME="_ExtentY" VALUE="7144">
 <param NAME="_Version" VALUE="393217">
 <param NAME="BackColor" VALUE="-2147483643">
 <param NAME="BorderStyle" VALUE="1">
 <param NAME="Enabled" VALUE="-1">
 <param NAME="HideSelection" VALUE="-1">
 <param NAME="MultiLine" VALUE="-1">
 <param NAME="ReadOnly" VALUE="0">
 <param NAME="ScrollBars" VALUE="3">
 <param NAME="MousePointer" VALUE="0">
 <param NAME="DisableNoScroll" VALUE="0">
 <param NAME="MaxLength" VALUE="10000">
 <param NAME="BulletIndent" VALUE="0">
 <param NAME="Appearance" VALUE="1">
 <param NAME="RightMargin" VALUE="0">
 <param NAME="AutoVerbMenu" VALUE="-1">
 <param NAME="OLEDragMode" VALUE="1">
 <param NAME="OLEDropMode" VALUE="2">
 <param NAME="FileName" value="">
 </object>

However, they do not seem to be displaying correctly, and when I try to
change the properties (e.g. document.all.txtTemplateData.FileName =
"C:\MyFile.RTF") of the second object I get:

    "Object does not support this property or method"

The same page works fine on users of IE5 I believe (at the clients), but I
only have IE6.

I visited the following web site:

* Q167435: INFO: FAQ on Developing with the Internet Client SDK
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;Q167435&

And that stated the following:

Q. Why do I get an "Object does not support this property or method" error
when using the multimedia controls in my page?
A. Considerable changes have been made to the multimedia controls in
Internet Explorer 4.0 Preview 2. For information on the multimedia controls,
please refer to the Internet Client SDK documentation under the "Internet
Multimedia" section. More documentation which highlights all the differences
will be made available shortly.

However, I can't find where to download the "Internet Client SDK" from at
all! Has this changed names? Does anybody know where it is?

Any help much appreciated.

Regards,

Ben.
